We are looking for Regional controller APAC What this job involves: Being accountable Your role is to oversee all Accounts Payable, Contract to Cash, Record to Report, Revenue Recognition processes in scope for Finance in the Region. You will also be supporting the monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting processes, monitoring adherence to the close calendar and timely communicating and resolving issues. You will be responsible for implementing financial control, including communication of audit risks and resolution of issues across the region. On top of that, you will be accountable for ensuring the books are closed and consolidated accurately across the Region in accordance with applicable US GAAP and our policies and procedures. Being analytical and systematic The Global Process Owners will be working with you to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure the impact on compliance and control of all process changes are understood and effectively managed. You will also ensure that accurate and complete standard financial reports are provided to Business Partners and coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting. Compliance and control You will be overseeing Country/ Cluster Controllers to ensure Regional compliance with corporate policies, procedures and standards. Partnering with global controllership, you will design and deliver comprehensive regional account strategy for the preparation of our accounts and books. You will also oversee the performance of internal and external audits, while managing the relationship with the external Auditors Regional operations. Being forward looking As the financial expert, you will review and recommend remediation/ mitigation plans to the Regional CFO for follow up with Regional Management Board, internal audit and global controllership. You will also monitor and communicate status of all corporate function processes and controls, developing risk mitigation plans as require. On top of that, you will also facilitate Regional risk assessment process related to financial statement assertions, processes and controls. Working with JLL Business Services (JBS) You will be working with JBS to optimise finance processes across the region as well as manage the Operational relationship with JBS for the Region, attending Regional Performance Boards. You will also corporately manage JBS from a Regional perspective and ensure ‘two sided’ KPIs are being measured, monitored and performance issues are address. This includes providing guidance, support and mentoring to Regional and Local Controllership functions. Sound like you? To apply you need to be: Experienced You hold an Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent with more than 15 years of experience in finance roles, including more than half in diverse senior positions managing reporting, financial planning functions, and business support. It would be great if you have prior experience working in Big 4, US MNC and/or dynamic, fast-paced and matrix environment, preferably in service industry. It would also be great if you have working knowledge of ERP and BI tools e.g. Hyperion Planning, PeopleSoft, Cognos, or TM1. Able to communicate You have excellent interpersonal skills and is able to manage through influence. You also have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. It would be great if you are able to speak and read a second Asian language. Capable You have good work ethic and a positive attitude. A “can do” mind-set and will follow through on issues. You are also a self-starter with the ability to prioritise and complete projects in a timely and efficient manner. On top of that, you are process oriented and an advocate of standardisation and consolidation of finance functions. You possess a good understanding of US GAAP and management accounting practices of a US MNC and is able to appreciate and harness technology in finance processes.
