This role is based in Singapore and directly reports to Regional Controller APAC, with matrix reports to CFO Corporate Solutions APAC. What this job involves: Being accountable You will oversee all Accounts Payable, Contract to Cash, Record to Report processes which are in scope for Finance focused on Corporate Solutions business in the region. You will support the monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting processes, monitor adherence to the close calendar and timely communicate and resolve issues. You will implement financial control at the regional level for Corporate Solutions business, including communication of audit risks and issues across the region. Additionally, you will ensure that the books are closed accurately across the Region with relevant US GAAP reporting as well as ensuring that accurate and complete standard financial reports are provided to the business partners. Working as a team You will work with Corporate Solutions business partners to ensure that revenue is recognised following the correct and globally/regionally consistent policies and procedures. You will work with global process owners to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure the impact on compliance and control of all process changes are understood and effectively managed. Compliance and control You will oversee country/hub level Corporate Solutions activity to ensure regional compliance to corporate policies, procedures and standards. You will support the preparation of regulatory reporting and direct the internal and external audit process for Corporate Solutions, including managing any relationships with auditors. Also, you will monitor and communicate status of all corporate function processes and controls, developing risk mitigation plans as required. Being forward looking As the financial expert, you will review and recommend remediation/mitigation plans for the Corporate Solutions business to the regional controller for follow up with regional management team and internal audit. You will facilitate regional risk assessment process related to financial statement assertions, processes and controls. Working with JLL Business Services (JBS) You will work with our JLL Business Services team (“JBS”) leveraging on shared platform and innovation to optimise finance processes across the region for Corporate Solutions business. You will corporately manage JBS from a regional perspective and ensure ‘two sided’ KPIs are being measured, monitored and performance issues are addressed. Sound like you? To apply you need to be: Experienced You have an Accounting or Finance degree or equivalent with more than 10 years of experience in finance roles, including more than half in diverse senior positions managing reporting, financial planning functions, and business support. It would be great if you have prior experience working in Big 4, US MNC and/or dynamic, fast-paced and matrix environment, preferably in service industry. It would also be great if you have working knowledge of ERP and BI tools e.g. Hyperion Planning, PeopleSoft, Cognos, or TM1. Able to communicate You have excellent interpersonal skills and is able to manage through influence. You also have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. It would be great if you are able to speak and read a second Asian language. Capable You have good work ethic and a positive attitude with a “can do” mind-set and will follow through on issues. You are also a self-starter with the ability to prioritise and complete projects in a timely and efficient manner. On top of that, you are process oriented and an advocate of standardisation and consolidation of finance functions. You possess a good understanding of US GAAP and management accounting practices of a US MNC and is able to appreciate and harness technology in finance processes.
