Deputy Director Resource Efficiency Jobs Vacancy in Company Jobs Details:
You will lead a team of like-minded officers that contributes to our strategic objectives of safeguarding Singapore’s environmental and water interest, in particular ensuring resource efficiency and developing policies so that Singapore is prepared for climate change. You will also be responsible for building up our operational capability and preparedness in nuclear safety and radiation protection. This portfolio has strong elements of inter-agency work; you will be required to liaise and work closely with many other government agencies. Your key responsibilities include: · Reviewing and designing policies and programmes that help to improve our industrial and household energy efficiency in response to climate change; · Designing key policies for the effective implementation of carbon mitigation; · Developing and implementing policies to build up our capabilities in nuclear safety and radiation protection; · Researching and studying of international developments on new and innovative adaptation solutions and ideas; and · Providing secretariat support to inter-agency committees. Requirements · A degree in Environmental studies, Engineering or equivalent from a reputable university · 8-10 years of relevant working experience · Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking with an eye for the big picture · Excellent command of written and spoken English · Ability to collaborate and develop effective working relationships with others · Demonstrate initiative and able to lead a team effectively null
