This Trade Compliance Operations Analyst will be part of Facebook’s growing Global Trade Operations team, which is part of Facebook’s Compliance, Security, and Investigations (“CSI”) organization. As Trade Operations, we partner closely with all internal business partners engaged in cross-border trade to enable them to move fast compliantly and efficiently. This includes Infrastructure, Facilities, Engineering, R&D teams, Labs, B8, Oculus VR and IT Logistics. In partnership with Trade Legal, Tax and Finance we educate, enable and empower the organization by building sustainable trade compliance practices that align to the needs of the business while also being scalable for a rapidly growing global footprint. The Trade Operations team is invested in aligning and operationalizing trade practices through a combination of training, responsive partnership, deep subject matter expertise, and excellent customer service. This is a full time role based out of Singapore.
Assist with the development and deployment of standardized and regional policies, processes and best practices on trade compliance to ensure compliance with customs and other applicable government agency’s regulations worldwide;
Assist with TradeOps projects and initiatives including supporting global new product introduction efforts, country expansion strategies and development of cross-functional relationships;
Provide key support for trade related risk assessments, audits, and disclosures;
Review existing global processes and transactions, implement process improvements and best practices, and develop metrics and reports to gauge success;
Provide guidance to the TradeOps team as needed for export and import issues, including ECCN and HTS classifications;
Collaborate with various business functions (tax, legal, engineering, NPI, and Supply Chain) to understand needs and build integrated, upstream and forward-looking trade compliance processes;
Data analysis of global import data;
Assistance with the re-design and implementation of global customs compliance processes and SOPs;
Assist with the development and implementation of corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future;
Support the development, maintenance, and delivery of internal training programs as necessary;

3+ of relevant international trade and customs experience in major global corporation or consulting firm with strong trade compliance expertise;
Experience and extensive knowledge of handling imports and/or exports in accordance with foreign government regulations;
4-year university degree in business, law, economics, finance or related discipline;
Experience in analyzing business problems using different tools (such as Microsoft Office, and statistical analysis);
Excellent analytical and project management skills as well as a an aptitude for business strategy;
Ability to interpret complex data and provide practical interpretation and recommendation;
Ability to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment;
o post-graduate degree in business, law, economics, finance or related discipline;
o experience at an international trade regulatory authority;
o deep operational support of a trade program in the high-tech industry;
o expertise with consumer electronics, high-tech and/or aerospace;
o trade management systems use or implementation (e.g. Oracle GTM, SAP GTS, Amber Road, Agile);
