Objectives of the position: To add value to the Supply Chain (SC) Community in the organization by providing supply chain consulting services to internal business partners. These are predominantly business unit Supply Chain managers, including large projects with a Supply Chain component. Main Tasks:
To professionally manage Logistics and Supply Chain projects or work streams with moderate complexity on a frequent basis
To support projects or work streams with higher complexity as team member
To apply tested Project Management skills to ensure adherence to agreed deadlines, quality of deliverables and cost budgets of respective projects
To consult internal business partners by applying own expertise (design concept)
To ensure high quality of proposals / solutions to clients
To perform effective change and risk management by engaging with stakeholders, assessing risks and concerns and using effective communication tools
To lead consultants, where applicable, of assigned projects, as a responsible project manager. Define and allocate work packages to project team members.
To contribute to the development and enhancement of skills of individual consultants (training/coaching)
To contribute to the knowledge and innovation management of the consultancy team (further development of processes, methods, frameworks/tool box). Promote and introduce cutting-edge SC knowledge to the organization
To represent consultancy unit in respective area of employment. Support project acquisition for consultancy team
To administer consultancy related reporting
Education / Working Experience: Degree in Supply Chain management / Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of operational supply chain experience or supply chain consulting experience with proof of several successfully managed complex projects
Preferably 3 years of Supply Chain / Logistics experience
APICS - Supply Chain Management (CPIM) or equivalent will be an asset
Lean Six Sigma - yellow belt or higher will be an added advantage Technical and Professional Knowledge:
Strong and comprehensive knowledge (confident with complex/ challenging projects) in either of the two following areas
Supply Chain consulting (project management , organizational projects, process changes, logistics)
Supply Chain management (strategy / operations / organization), planning (demand, supply, inventory), distribution
Profound knowledge in
Supply Chain Systems and Technology
Being fluent (active contribution and participation in discussion including technical topics and terms) in English. At least one other Asian language is preferable.
