As part of the HR Operations team, the HR Advisor will provide generalist HR advice, support and guidance to managers and employees in their designated business areas. Acting as the first point of contact for general HR queries, they will provide accurate and timely advice. In-line with the overall HR plan, this role will be involved with all aspects of HR including employee relations cases and accommodations.
The HR Advisor establishes strong working relationships and builds trust with key stakeholders from all teams in their business areas, ensuring that all stakeholders are engaged with the HR team. In addition, they are responsible for delivering on HR projects and making sure they support the growth of the business whilst working with the HR Lead to ensure an excellent employee experience.
Assisting with labor law related questions and basic employment conditions, the HR Advisor leverages the ‘hands-on’ day-to-day management of tasks and issues, implementing action plans to improve the employee experience.
More specifically, the HR Advisor is responsible for:
Data maintenance: Ensuring that HR Administration and other stakeholders have accurate and up to date information regarding new joiners, leavers, internal moves, salary adjustments and changes in personal information.
Payroll processing: Reviewing the payroll on a monthly basis and communicating with our external payroll vendor. Collaborating with the Compensation and Benefits (C&B) team regarding sales commissions and incentives as well as any other incidents that affect the payroll of our employees in APAC.
Benefits administration: Acting as the point of contact for our external vendors and solving any issues.
Documentation: Contract creation and delivery and creation of other necessary HR documents.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
Position requests: The person will be in charge of holding conversations with managers and reviewing the requests before submitting it to the team in The Netherlands. Furthermore, this person will communicate the outcomes of the approval process to the relevant managers.
Recruitment process: Ensure the right expectations regarding the recruitment process and communicate closely with recruiters in the Netherlands to be up to date with the different recruitment processes.
Internal moves: Communicate with managers and arrange internal selection processes. Furthermore, request from the C&B team in The Netherlands to approve offers to candidates and inform HR Administration in The Netherlands.
Responsible for the onboarding program and delivery for new employees and managers in APAC.
Manage matters such as performance, harassment complaints, bullying, unprofessional behavior and any other employee related issues.
Assist with employment issues and connect with the right stakeholders.
Own the talent planning and performance review process for employees within APAC.
Coordinate trainings and info sessions before the launch of specific HR programs such as the performance review or the bonus cycle and tailor them to the APAC population and local law and work culture.
The HR Advisor is a flexible and proactive individual able to work with a variety of different people. They have:
- 3+ years’ experience as a HR generalist or similar.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken command of other languages are a plus.
- Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to operate with discretion, reliability and act as a role model.
- The ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work to rigorous deadlines.
- A customer focused inclination and is results-driven.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing (HR) projects.
